Our goal is to provide our students with the education and experiences necessary to pursue their dreams beyond high school. We pride ourselves in being "a school that cares" about each of our students and their educational, social and emotional well-being. The four year voyage to reach that goal begins with a summer orientation for new, incoming students to ease the transition from middle school.

The diversity of our curricular program offerings satisfy a wide range of student interests ranging from the world of work to courses in Honors, advanced placement and dual credit courses in conjunction with Camden County College. In addition to the core courses required by the State of New Jersey, we offer electives in a wide variety of areas such as Public Speaking, Journalism, Creative Writing, Oceanography, Genetics, Astronomy, World Philosophy, Personal Finance, Web Page Design, Digital Painting, Theater Arts, CAD, Design Technology, American Sign Language and Psychology. Along with the various levels of core courses offered, these electives contribute to the best in college preparation.
As a further enhancement to our instructional program, we participate in a variety of off-site activities. These include competitions in the Science League of South Jersey, the Model United Nations in Hershey, Pa., Youth in Government in Trenton, NJ and an "Academic Challenge" team that competes with other high schools in the area.

There are clubs and activities for every possible student interest at Overbrook Senior. In the performing arts we offer Marching, Concert and Jazz bands and a variety of vocal choirs. Our Jazz Band has won the state
championship seven of the last fifteen years. We offer Theater Arts both in the curriculum and as an extra-curricular activity, staging a drama or comedy in the Fall and a musical in the Spring. We offer clubs in world languages, Multi-Cultural understanding, African-American Culture and a variety of public service oriented clubs.
As a member of the Tri-County Athletic Conference, we field teams in all major sports during all three school sport seasons.

We are a close-knit, family-oriented school that takes pride in everything we do, while providing a challenging and comprehensive curriculum and student activities for every interest. The development of individual potential and talents of each student are paramount in our programs and educational opportunities. Welcome to Overbrook! Welcome Home!
