Mathematics
Target Objective
By June 30, 2008, the data for all 11th grade students at Overbrook High
School, including students in any and all eligible subgroups, i.e. race,
disability (special education), LEP, and Economically Disadvantaged will
achieve adequate yearly progress (74% proficient). A student sub group in
the school may also make AYP by achieving “Safe Harbor”. Safe
Harbor is defined as reducing by 10 % the number of 2007 students who scored
partially proficient on the HSPA.. The High School Proficiency Assessment
will be used as the measurement tool to assess the success of this objective.
Language Arts
Challenge Objective
By June 30, 2008, as a result of specific and supplemental instruction, there
will be a reduction by ten percent of the number of 2007 students who scored
partially proficient on the New Jersey High School Proficiency Assessment
(HSPA). The number of students who scored partially proficient on the 2007
HSPA is 18.1 % with 10 % of 18.1 being 1.8 %, or at least 4 students. The
New Jersey HSPA will be used as the measurement tool to assess the attainment
of this objective.
